Join us on a journey as we explore the must-visit places, share insider tips, and unveil the best-kept secrets of Monaco.

Getting to and around Monaco:

The closest airport to Monaco is the Nice Cote d’Azur international airport, which is around 40ish minutes drive to Monaco. If you are staying in some of the french tows in the area you can easily reach Monaco with train or by car. Either option is fine, although Monaco is tiny parking is not a problem, since there are a lot of underground garages. Monaco is small so you can easily walk the whole country. Something to note is that Uber does not work in Monaco, you can get to Monaco with an Uber but you won’t be able to call one once you are in Monaco. You will have to use local Monaco taxi.

Best time ti visit:

The best time to visit Monaco is during the spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) seasons when the weather is mild, and the crowds are smaller. Avoid the peak summer months if you prefer a more relaxed experience as well as the weekends when its the Monaco Grand Prix or the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters, unless you’ve secured tickets for those events.

Must do’s and see’s:

Prince’s Palace of Monaco– where the royal family lives (Grace Kelly used to live here). Witness the Changing of the Guard ceremony at 11:55 a.m. and explore the palace’s stunning State Apartments, adorned with exquisite artwork and opulent decor.

Take a walk in the Japanese Tea Garden– located in Monte Carlo, it is perfect for a little walk, and for a moment you will think you are in Japan. Don’t forget to explore the fascinating underground cave network, known as the Observatory Cave.

Monte Carlo Casino– one of the most famous casino’s in the world, make sure to go inside. This legendary establishment exudes elegance and extravagance, with its Belle Époque architecture and luxurious gaming rooms.  Tip: visit it early in the morning that way you won’t have to pay an entry fee and you can view all the rooms.

Drink coffee in Café de Paris– although overpriced still worth going and drinking your coffee while enjoying the view of Monte Carlo Casino.

Retail therapy– the amount of high end designers stores in Monaco will amaze you. Make sure to check out the Shopping Promenade as well as La Metropole even if it’s only for window shopping.

Party in Monaco– partying in Monaco is a completely different than any other place I have been to. If you have the chance make sure to go to some of the most famous clubs.

Saint Nicholas Cathedral– a beautiful cathedral, inside many of the members of the Grimaldi family are buried including Grace Kelly.

Enjoy the view from Port of Fontvieille– amazing view over the port of Fontvieille, surrounded by the beautiful gardens of Saint Martin.

Stroll through Monaco Old Town– the old town is charming with small local shops and restaurants, very different from the rest of Monaco.
