THE MAGIC OF VIENNA
Picture a place that is as photogenic as Paris but 10 times leaner and with less crowds, a place as cosmopolitan as London but smaller, a place rich with history, culture, music and real princess and prince tales. A place called Vienna, the past weekend I had a chance to visit Vienna again. Once I said that having friends live abroad it’s the worst but also the best thing, because you get to visit them and travel. This weekend I was visiting my friend Sara that has been living in Vienna for the past few years, and there is nothing better than exploring a place with someone who calls it home.
Vienna for me is the book example of how an European city should look like, rich with history and culture and magnificent architecture and building. Vienna is fairly small, when compared to other European cities, but you still need to take the underground, tram or bus to get around. Thankfully visit Vienna provided me with their Vienna city pass, which gives you access to all means of public transportation as well as a lot of discounts for sights and attractions.

Место кое се вика Виена, овој викенд имав можност да ја посетам Виена повторно. Еднаш кажав дека да имаш пријатели кои што живеат во странство е најлошото и најдоброто нешто, најдобро бидејќи можете да ги посетите и да патувате. Овој викенд ја посетив мојата другарка Сара која веќе неколку години живее во Виена, и нема нешто подобро од да истраќувате место со некој кој што го нарекува дома.
Виена за мене е пример од книга за како еден Европски град треба да изгледа, богата со историја и култура, архитектура која воодушевува. Виена е доста мала, споредена со другите европски метрополи, но сепак ќе ви треба метро, трамвај или автобус да се движите. Must visit:
Schloss Belvedere- in both my previous trips to Vienna, I didn’t get a chance to visit Belvedere so this time it was a must for me to go. The castle is beautiful and has large gardens, there are also two museums that you can visit in Belvedere.

Albertina- art from all over the world can be found in this museum as well as local art and state rooms. Currently there is a Monet exhibition that was breathtaking, I’ve never seen more pieces of Monet in one place (if you are going to Vienna sure, and you are an art lover definitely see the exhibition).

Hundertwasse House- the most colorful building in Vienna for sure, the artist behind this avant-garde building is Friedensreich Hundertwasser. Bit outside of the center, but if you have extra time go for it.

Hofburg Imperial Palace- located in the center, a 13h century palace where you can find state rooms, collection of royal dinnerware, exhibition for Sisi and the Spanish Riding School is located right next door.

St Stephen Cathedral- built in romanesque and gothic style, beautiful both from outside and inside. The entrance is free, if you want you can also get tickets to climb the two towers of the cathedral.

What to do:
Go to a philharmonic concert in Musikverein- all of my new years day memories are of the New Years concert that is in Vienna. During my stay, Vienna Modern was happening and we went to see a philharmonic concert in Musikverein and it was amazing. The venue itself is very elegant and the concert was just phenomenal.

See ‘The Kiss’- Gustav Klimt most famous painting is placed in Belvedere museum (the upper museum). It’s a must visit for everyone, the painting will leave you breathless.

Admire the architecture- beautiful baroque and elegant architecture can be found everywhere in Vienna. My favorite building were the оpera, National Library, Hofburg Palace and the Rathaus.
